Today without explanation (per usual) the Supreme Court decided not to hear two challenges to unconstitutional gun restrictions.
The Gateway Pundit reported,
The US Supreme Court on Monday morning declined to hear a Second Amendment case involving challenges to bans on high-capacity magazines and some semi-automatic weapons.
One case involved Marylandโs 2012 ban on some semi-automatic weapons like AR-15 rifles.
The high court also declined to hear arguments challenging Rhode Islandโs ban on high-capacity magazines.
The Supreme Court did not explain its decision not to hear arguments on the cases, but conservative Justices Gorsuch, Alito, and Thomas dissented.
Justice Kavanaugh said the Supreme Court will be addressing the AR-15 challenge soon.
โAdditional petitions for certiorari will likely be before this Court shortly and, in my view, this Court should and presumably will address the AR-15 issue soon, in the next Term or two,โ Kavanaugh said in a statement.
This serves as an important reminder that the Supreme Court can be wrong. They have been many times before. Our rights do not come from government, they come from God as is highlighted in our Declaration of Independence:
โWe hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights,โ
Article VI, Section 2 of our Constitution makes it abundantly clear that the true supreme law of the land is the Constitution:
This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby,
No matter the opinion of any judge or justice, the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
