A Democrat congressman’s attempt to embarrass Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem with a sob story about an illegal alien veteran being deported by President Trump backfired when conservatives uncovered some damning facts about the migrant.
As The Gateway Pundit’s Jordan Conradson reported, Noem testified on Thursday alongside National Counterterrorism Center Director Joe Kent and FBI National Security Branch Operations Director Michael Glasheen before the House Homeland Security Committee on Thursday.
During the hearing, Rep. Seth Magaziner (D-MA) decided to ambush Noem, first by demanding how many US military veterans she had deported. When Noem responded that she had not, the congressman then pulled out his next nasty stunt.
“We are joined on Zoom by a gentleman named Sae Joon Park. He is a United States combat veteran who was shot twice,” Magaziner announced. “Like many veterans, he struggled with PTSD, he was arrested in the 1990s for some minor drug offenses.
“He never hurt anyone besides himself. He is a Purple Heart recipient; he has sacrificed more for this country than most people ever have,” he added. “Earlier this year, you deported him to Korea, a country he has not lived in since he was seven.”
“Will you join me in thanking Mr. Park for his service?”
Noem said she would, but reiterated that America’s laws needed to be enforced, which displeased Magaziner.

But to no one’s surprise, Magaziner’s narrative was missing some crucial facts as Internet sleuths quickly uncovered the real story behind Park’s departure from America.
The truth is that Trump had nothing to do with sending Park back; he decided to leave for South Korea on his own.

Assistant Homeland Security Secretary Tricia McLaughlin also notes that Park had an extensive criminal history that Magaziner conveniently neglected to mention.
This includes convictions for the following crimes:
-assault
-possessing, manufacturing, or selling a dangerous weapon
-carrying a loaded firearm in a public place
-criminal possession of a controlled substance

Moreover, Park’s green card was revoked, and he was given a removal order in 2009 after serving three years in prison.
Park also had the opportunity to pursue citizenship, but decided never to do so during his nearly five decades in America.
