As if the Charlie Kirk assassination was bad enough on its own, many people on the left, and even a few people on the right, have made a new hobby out of attacking his widow Erika Kirk.
They criticize her clothing, question her ability to smile, and accuse her of every stupid and ridiculous thing you can imagine, even somehow being involved in her husband’s murder.
The woman is a grieving widow and yet these horrible people refuse to leave her alone to mourn the loss of Charlie, which happened just a few months ago.
Enter conservative commentator Matt Walsh.
In a recent video, which you can watch below, Walsh goes after these critics and focuses much of his ire on the poisonous, liberal podcaster Jennifer Welch:
“OK Jennifer, are you sure that is why you’re so upset at Erika? Is it because of her wardrobe changes? Because God forbid what, Erika changed her wardrobe? She wears different clothing every day? That’s the problem?
These soulless trolls. Like every day, they make up a new rule that apparently widows are supposed to follow. Every day with these idiots, it’s another thing.
Well – If she’s a grieving widow, why is she doing that? Why is she wearing different clothing today? Why is she eating a sandwich for lunch? Have you ever seen a grieving widow eat a sandwich? What is this?
And so they make up these rules. And the rules grow! But every day. I mean the list now is five pages long. Of things that apparently grieving widows are supposed to do or not do. Just arbitrarily invented, and um, if they don’t follow these rules, if Erika doesn’t follow the rules, then she’s a fake and a fraud, not actually sad that her husband died.
Right? You find the same thing with – I just responded today to someone on the right who posted something, it’s a picture of Erika smiling, and the person, I forget what the caption was, but the person was attacking Erika for smiling – oh, she really looks like she’s grieving.
Yes, because when you’re grieving that means that you’ll never smile. But keep in mind, if Erika smiles, then her critics on both sides will say, well why are you smiling? If she frowns, then they’ll say, oh she’s faking it. If she cries, they’ll say, oh it’s performance.”

This needed to be said and Matt Walsh said it perfectly. It’s just amazing how little humanity some of Erika’s critics have.
