It was supposed to be a typical Monday at the Old National Bank in downtown Louisville, Kentucky, until chaos erupted. Shots rang out as a gunman armed with a “long assault rifle” opened fire inside the bank, leaving eight people injured, including two police officers. Witnesses describe scenes of horror and confusion, with blood and shattered glass littering the conference room area. As police rushed to the scene, the shooter, believed to be a current or former employee, was found dead. The circumstances of his death remain a mystery. With the city in shock, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear took to Twitter, asking for prayers for those affected by this senseless tragedy. It’s a somber reminder that in the blink of an eye, lives can be forever changed.
