A Twitter Hearing Turns Into A Six-Person Shouting Match. Democratic Party Members Demand That Matt Taibbi Name Elon Musk As A “Direct Source.”

TRUTH PUKE’S TAKE: The House Judiciary subcommittee hearing on Twitter turned into a heated, 6-person yelling fight when Rep. Sylvia Garcia asked reporter Matt Taibbi to identify Elon Musk as the author’s initial “direct source” for the Twitter Files. Taibbi replied that he couldn’t give it to Garcia because it was a sourcing issue and he kept his sources private. Garcia then maintained questionable claims that by omitting to name Musk as the source, she was trying to claim that he is the source. Rep. Jim Jordan, the chair of the Republican committee, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the ranking Democrat Rep. Stacey Plaskett, and one or two additional voices then entered the discussion. Garcia eventually insisted on having the time restored, and Jordan jokingly gave it to her. After that, the discussion regarding why people would report on the Twitter Files but not their contents continued.
