Secretary of State Marco Rubio shared the news in a statement.

“Today, after two and a half years of captivity in Afghanistan, Delta Airlines mechanic George Glezmann is on his way to be reunited with his wife, Aleksandra,” Rubio said.

Finally, back in the United States, Glezmann shared his appreciation for his freedom and had high praise for President Trump.

When asked how it felt to be back on U.S. soil, Glezmann told Fox News, “I’m amazed. I feel like born again. I have no words,” he said overcome by emotion.

“President Trump….amazing…you know…I’m in debt with the president, President Trump, you know…amazing.”

“Thank God he’s in the White House where he’s at and thank God he got me out.”

“Marco Rubio, Mike Walsh, Adam Boehler. I’m in debt with everybody that was involved in this situation because they got me home.”
