Biden says Trump ‘snapped’ after 2020 election loss

In remarks given to supporters in Seattle, President Biden said former President Trump “snapped” after he lost the 2020 presidential election.

“It’s clear that … when he lost in 2020, something snapped in him,” Biden said at the fundraising event, according to reporters in the room. “He’s not only obsessed with losing in 2020, he’s clearly unhinged. Just listen to what he’s telling people.”

First reported by CNN, Biden was reflecting on what is different this election cycle, as the same two candidates ready for a rematch.

Biden’s comments follow the fourth week of Trump’s criminal hush money case in Manhattan, a historic first for a current or former U.S. president.

He also said he feels good about where his campaign is at but acknowledged it’s going to be another close race.

“We feel good about the state of the race, but we know the race is close,” Biden said.

Although Biden said he feels confident, he still trails Trump in most polls. According to Decision Desk HQ/Truth Puke, Trump has a .02 percent lead over Biden in national polls.

Truth Puke has reached out to the Biden campaign for further comment on his statement.

CNN reported that the fundraiser was held at former Microsoft executive Jon Shirley’s house.

Biden told the donors that he will try his best “not to disappoint you.”
