President Joe Biden mocked Donald Trump’s courtroom travails in a newly issued debate challenge.
The president called on his Republican challenger to join him for two televised debates in June and September, well before early voting begins, in a video message and letter sent to the bipartisan Commission on Presidential Debates.
“Donald Trump lost two debates to me in 2020, and since then he hasn’t shown up for a debate,” Biden said in the video message. “Now he is acting like he wants to debate me again. Well, make my day, pal. I’ll even do it twice.”

Biden then jabbed Trump over his New York criminal trial, which takes a midweek break at Judge Juan Merchan’s order.
“So let’s pick the dates, Donald,” Biden said. “I hear you’re free on Wednesdays.”
Trump has challenged the president to a debate, saying he’s “ready to go anywhere,” including the White House or in New York City during a break from his trial.
