Caught on Tape: EPA Advisor Admits Agency Hastily Allocated Billions in Climate Change Funds Before Trump Took Office

An EPA advisor was exposed in a Project Veritas undercover video admitting that the agency rushed to allocate billions of taxpayer dollars to climate change initiatives just before President Donald Trumpโ€™s inauguration.

Brent Efron, a special advisor at the EPA and instrumental in implementing Bidenโ€™s climate agenda, spoke to a Project Veritas operative about the rush to disburse funds two months before Trumpโ€™s inauguration.

โ€œNow itโ€™s how to get the money out as fast as possible before they [Trump Administration] come in โ€ฆ It truly feels like weโ€™re on the Titanic or throwing gold bar off the top edge.,โ€ Efron said.

Under the Biden administrationโ€™s Inflation Reduction Act, which Efron referred to as โ€œBidenโ€™s climate law,โ€ over $100 billion was allocated for various environmental projects.

Efron detailed how the EPA is scrambling to ensure these funds are committed to projects, including those initially planned for a Kamala Harris presidency.

โ€œThe thing that we havenโ€™t funded yet are [sic] the local nonprofit program that was going to be an inter-Kamala Harris administration programโ€ฆ so now weโ€™re getting it [funding] out as quick as possible. Itโ€™s like two billion at this point, weโ€™ve got most of it out โ€“ like 90%.โ€

He further disclosed that the EPA plans to continue this funding rush until the very last minute on Inauguration Day.

The strategy involves channeling funds through nonprofits, which Efron described as an โ€œinsurance policyโ€ against a Trump administration that might seek to defund or repeal these initiatives.

โ€œWe gave them [nonprofits, states, tribes] the money becauseโ€ฆ it was an insurance policy against Trump winning. Because they arenโ€™t [a government agency], theyโ€™re safer from Republicans taking the money away.โ€

Efron also discusses the EPAโ€™s strategy of using nonprofits as a shield against Republican policies, and hints at the potential personal benefits awaiting him post-tenure.

โ€œOver the last year weโ€™ve given out $50 billion dollars for climate thingsโ€ฆso to go work for one of these places would be really cool.โ€

Newly appointed EPA chief Lee Zeldin, a former New York Congressman and a staunch ally of Trump, releases his statement in response to the scandal.

โ€œHuge news! Our awesome team EPA just located BILLIONS of dollars worth of โ€œgold barsโ€ that the Biden Admin threw โ€œoff the titanicโ€. Big update coming tomorrowโ€ฆโ€ Zeldin wrote.

Utah Senator Mike Lee also weighed in on the situation via X.

โ€œThe U.S. government is actively working to undermine the American people. Weโ€™ve empowered Washington to the point that itโ€™s become dangerous and destructive. Itโ€™s too big, too expensive, and too powerful. We must return to constitutional government,โ€ he wrote.
