CIA Director Unhappy with Saudi’s Decision to Mend Ties with Iran

TRUTH PUKE’S TAKE: Shocking! The CIA Director William Burns, during his unannounced visit to Saudi Arabia, expressed his discontent over the kingdom’s decision to mend ties with Iran and Syria. How dare Saudi Arabia take such a step when these countries are still under the influence of Western sanctions? Burns made it clear to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman that the United States is shocked by Riyadh’s rapprochement with these countries. As if it’s any of their business.

During his visit, Burns also discussed with the Saudi leadership cooperation in the field of intelligence and counter-terrorism. The fact that the head of the CIA decided to express his disapproval of their foreign policy choices and then asked for cooperation on security issues and the fight against terrorism is brazen, to say the least.

Just last month, Tehran and Riyadh agreed to restore diplomatic relations and reopen embassies within two months. How dare they try to establish peaceful relations with each other? It’s almost as if they don’t care about the United States’ opinion. Shocking, I know.

It’s so reassuring to see that the United States is still trying to dictate foreign policy choices for other countries. Who needs sovereignty and autonomy when you have the United States telling you what to do?
