Kari Lake, the MAGA firebrand and US Agency for Global Media (USAGM) Special Advisor, has sent a โfork in the roadโ deferred resignation buyout offer to USAGM employees as mass firings loom over the agency.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, Kari Lake issued reduction-in-force notifications to government worker unions, putting the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) and the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) on notice earlier this week that mass firings are incoming.

After sending the offer to USAGM employees, Lake posted a compassionate reminder on X: "URGENT: Employees of USAGM, please check your email for an urgent message from HR. Have a great weekend."
The generous offer to employees gives them the choice to "retain full pay and benefits" for six months without work requirements or likely get "DOGEd."
According to the Office of Personnel Management, those who accept will not be expected to work, are encouraged to get a private sector job, and they are still eligible for retirement.
The options are ostensibly to get fired or leave and take eight months of salary. What idiot wouldn't accept the buyout?
The Gateway Pundit obtained a copy of the email sent to USAGM employees with the subject line, "USAGM Fork in the Road Opportunity (Deferred Resignation Program)."
The email reads,
As part of the broader workforce reforms initiated by President Trump, the federal government is undergoing significant restructuring to enhance efficiency, accountability, and performance. These changes are designed to build a more effective, high-performing federal workforce.
