FBI Withholds Alleged Biden Crime Docs

In recent news, the FBI has refused a request by the House Oversight Committee to release a document that allegedly details President Joe Biden’s involvement in an illegal scheme with a foreign national. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer has expressed his disappointment in the FBI’s refusal, stating that the agency is essentially saying “trust, but you aren’t allowed to verify.” Comer has been pushing for investigations into potential corrupt dealings involving Biden and his family and claims that bank records show the Biden family and their associates received over $10 million from foreign nationals and companies, including some based in China. Comer also believes that the Bidens’ activities in Romania from 2015 to 2017 were indicative of a scheme to peddle influence.

However, the FBI has stated that it cannot provide the document as it may “harm investigations, prejudice prosecutions or judicial proceedings, unfairly violate privacy or reputational interests, or create misimpressions in the public.” The FBI’s decision has been met with disappointment by Republicans, who plan to follow up with the agency and expect compliance with the subpoena.

Meanwhile, White House spokesman Ian Sams has accused Republicans of “microwaving old debunked stuff” and cited the Wall Street Journal’s report from three years ago that allegedly showed the President played no role in the scheme. The Washington Post’s conclusion from last year also stated that there was no evidence that Biden personally benefited from or knew details of the scheme.

Overall, the controversy surrounding the alleged criminal scheme involving President Biden and a foreign national continues to be a topic of interest and concern for many. While some believe that the FBI’s refusal to provide the requested document is unacceptable, others argue that the allegations have already been debunked and that it is time to move on.
