Fox And Dominion Settle Election Fraud Lawsuit

TRUTH PUKE’S TAKE: Fox News has agreed to pay Dominion Voting Systems $787.5 million to settle a $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit over false claims made by some of its hosts and guests about the company’s voting machines in the 2020 US presidential election.

The settlement was reached just before opening arguments were set to begin, and Dominion’s lawyer said that Fox admitted to telling lies. Although Fox did not deny that some of its claims were false, it argued that it was reporting newsworthy allegations from public figures and that its hosts’ opinions were typical of the “rhetorical hyperbole” in American politics.

Despite the settlement, the controversy surrounding the use of Dominion’s machines and allegations of election fraud still lingers.
