Haley: Biden special counsel report ‘unbelievably disturbing’

GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley described the special counsel report on President Biden’s handling of classified documents “unbelievably disturbing” in an interview late Thursday.

“It is unbelievably disturbing that they are showing that they see Biden to not have a good memory, that they see him as diminished, that they see that it’s a problem, and they point-blank say that,” Haley said in the interview on Fox News’s “Hannity.”

“I mean, this is actually dangerous. … Look, people make fun of the fact that I say we need to have mental competency tests. There’s a reason 70 percent of Americans don’t wanna see a Biden-Trump rematch,” Haley said, referring to former President Trump, the current GOP frontrunner.

“The party that gets rid of their 80-year-old candidate is gonna be the party that wins.”

The report from special counsel Robert Hur, released earlier Thursday, concluded that no charges should be brought against the president, but it did note that Biden had problems with memory and recall.

“We have also considered that, at trial, Mr. Biden would likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview of him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory,” Hur wrote.

“Based on our direct interactions with and observations of him, he is someone for whom many jurors will want to identify reasonable doubt. It would be difficult to convince a jury that they should convict him — by then a former president well into his eighties — of a serious felony that requires a mental state of willfulness.”

Biden hit back at the report in a fiery press conference Thursday night, defending his memory and mental capability.

“My memory’s fine. … Take a look at what I’ve done since I became president. … How did that happen? I guess I just forgot what was going on,” he said.

Biden during the press conference did confuse the leaders of Mexico and Egypt.
