House GOP Mulls Unprecedented Move to Strip Legal Immunity of Alvin Bragg: Scandalous Plot Unfolds

House Republicans are contemplating ending prosecutorial immunity for political prosecutors engaging in misconduct, such as bringing politicized charges against individuals. Representative Austin Scott (R-GA) informed Just The News that he believes prosecutors should not be exempt from liability for their actions, suggesting that it is time to hold them accountable for their abuses of power.

Republican Speaker of the House, Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), also chimed in on the matter, vowing to hold Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg accountable for his alleged political prosecution of former President Donald Trump. According to McCarthy, Bragg “routinely frees violent criminals to terrorize the public” and “weaponized our sacred system of justice” against Trump.

Representative Scott believes that Republicans should build on the move to end qualified immunity for police officers and take it a step further by ending immunity for political prosecutors. He added that “maybe we need to be looking at how a prosecutor who abuses his power the way this Manhattan district attorney has done becomes personally liable and potentially criminally chargeable for their actions.” The state of Georgia has already created a framework where prosecutors who operate outside of their bounds could be reviewed by their peers and potentially removed from office.

As the tension between House Republicans and Alvin Bragg escalates, the question remains: will this move bring justice or just more political drama?
