Law Enforcement Agencies Ready For A Potential Trump Indictment Next Week

Law enforcement and security organizations are bracing in case former President Donald Trump is charged in relation to an alleged hush money payment to Stormy Daniels and has to appear in New York court. Participating agencies include the NYPD, State Court officers, the U.S. Secret Service, the Joint Terrorism Task Force of the FBI and the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. Michael Cohen pleaded guilty in 2018 to a federal charge regarding his $130,000 payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels during the final weeks of 2016. Cohen was reimbursed for these funds through payments labeled as “legal costs,” which Trump’s business labeled as legal fees. Meanwhile, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is investigating Trump for criminal business record fraud.
