NYC mayoral candidate and City Comptroller Brad Lander spoke to the media just a few hours ago after being released from federal custody following his humiliating ordeal at an immigration court in Manhattan earlier today.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, Lander created a chaotic scene on Tuesday at Federal Plaza in Manhattan after placing his hands on and repeatedly demanding to see a warrant for an individual being escorted away by immigration officials.
ICE officials responded by laying down the law on the politician. The Post reported that Lander was arrested on an obstruction of governmental administration charge.
Unfortunately, according to New York Governor Kathy Hochul, the charge has been dropped. After his release, Lander ran to the media and immediately began spinning a far different tale than what everyone could see on tape.
Multiple left-wing New York politicians, including Hochul, stood by his side as he insulted everyone’s intelligence.
“When we went back upstairs, we had these next two cases…We just tried to walk out of the building,” Lander stated. “I think you saw the video. All I tried to do was just hold Edgardo’s (the migrant’s name) arm and ask the ICE agents, ‘Do you have a warrant?’”
“And they would not show me the warrant…And you saw what happened,” he added.

Lander continued his gaslighting by seemingly comparing himself to a biblical figure.
“I just engaged in that accompaniment, of trying to bear witness, of trying to walk peacefully with someone,” Lander said.
What a liar!

As one will see in the video, Lander keeps his hands on the suspected illegal alien’s shoulder and refuses to let go. He is clearly committing a crime by obstructing ICE’s proceedings.
Then, the ICE officers spring into action and take care of the mayoral candidate.
“You don’t have the authority to arrest US citizens,” Lander whines as he’s being cuffed.
