Republican Senator-Elect Bernie Moreno was on “Sunday Morning Futures” with Maria Bartiromo on Sunday to discuss President Trump’s America First agenda.
“Are you going to support all of President Trump’s nominees?” Bartiromo asked.
“Absolutely. I am calling on all my colleagues to stay focused and united. Let’s get every single one of President Trump’s nominees confirmed quickly and efficiently,” Moreno said.
“We can’t be talking about nominees past actually March. We need to get them all done, get them all there,” Moreno continued.
Bartiromo talked about how Biden’s nominees were confirmed by Republicans who were very bad picks.
“We looked at some of the Senate responses to President Biden’s nominees, and you had a number of Republicans voting yes for people like Alejandro Mayorkas,” Bartiromo said.
“Ya, and there is one key difference. These cabinet members that Joe Biden had were objectively terrible, Maria, as you know, and yet there was no ramifications, no accountability. The difference is with President Trump, if any of his nominees get confirmed and don’t do the job they are supposed to do, President Trump will replace them,” Moreno said.
“Our job is to give him his leadership team. Let’s get that done quickly and efficiently so we can get to the business of solving the problems that Americans put us into office to get done,” Moreno continued.
Moreno emphasized that the border and deportation is a priority in the administration.
“Where are you on that? Do you want to do the border bill first?” Bartiromo asked.
“This election was about open borders and high prices. So, we have to get a reconciliation bill that deals with both of those issues immediately, so that means fund deportation, fund detention centers, fund border security. Let’s get that done quickly and when I say quickly, I mean January, February time frame,” Moreno said.
“The American people have given us a mandate to get things done quickly and efficiently,” Moreno continued.
