Former Vice President Mike Pence reportedly plans to attend the inauguration on Monday despite the bad blood between him and President Donald Trump.
On Friday evening, the New York Times reported Pence would attend and “was invited by the congressional committee overseeing the event, as is the custom for all former presidents and vice presidents, according to one of the people with knowledge of the planning.”
“It is unclear what impact, if any, the request by Mr. Trump to move his second swearing-in ceremony into the Capitol Rotunda will have on the seating arrangements for former presidents and vice presidents,” the report added. “Unlike the outdoor dais and the seating setup, the Capitol Rotunda only seats about 600 people.”
The inauguration is being moved to the Capitol Rotunda due to the expected freezing temperatures.
Pence ran against Trump in the 2024 election but exited the race during the primaries when he failed to gain any momentum.
Last week, Trump posted on Truth Social that he will not hire anyone associated with Pence, Charles Koch, “Dumb as a Rock” John Bolton, the Cheneys, “Birdbrain” Nikki Haley, Paul Ryan, Mitt Romney, and General Mark Milley.
Trump wrote:
“As of today, the incoming Trump Administration has hired over 1,000 people for The United States Government. They are outstanding in every way, and you will see the fruits of their labor over the coming years.
We will MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, and it will happen very quickly!

Mark Milley, James Mattis, Mark Yesper, or any of the other people suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome, more commonly known as TDS.
