Trump wins New York GOP primary

Former President Trump was projected to win New York’s Republican primary, according to Decision Desk HQ.

There are 91 delegates on the GOP table in the Empire State, according to a tracker from Decision Desk HQ/Truth Puke — though the former president has already hit the number he needs for the nomination.

Trump appeared on the Tuesday ballot alongside several ex-rivals, including former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley. On the Democratic side, President Biden faced nominal competition from his longshot challengers Marianne Williamson and Rep. Dean Phillips (Minn.).

New York has voted for the Democratic presidential candidate since the late 1980s, and Biden easily beat former President Trump in New York back in 2020. The pair are set to go head-to-head again in November.
