WATCH: Parents Clash at Illinois School Board Meeting After Transgender Biological Boy Beats 7th Grade Girls During Track Meet

Parents and local residents were deeply divided at a Chicago-area school board meeting on Monday, after a 7th-grade โ€œtransgenderโ€ biological boy beat all the girls at a track meet.

Approximately 100 parents and residents attended the Naperville 203 Community School District Board meeting to speak out in favor of boys playing in girlsโ€™ sports and against it.

The two sides of the debate sat divided with signs either for or against it.

Fox News reports:

Those in support of the trans athlete waved the blue, pink and white striped transgender flag, while those advocating for athletes to compete against people of the same biological sex held signs reading โ€œProtect girls sportsโ€ and โ€œDefend Title IX,โ€ a federal civil rights law that prohibits sex discrimination in education.

The controversy centered around a biological male who competed in a 7th grade track meet against biological females at the Naper Prairie Conference Meet, with attendees at the meeting sharply divided on the issue.

โ€œThese situations place feelings over reason and force other students and families to participate in something we all know is a lie,โ€ parent Mike LaBelle said, according to the Fox report.

Naperville resident Doug MacGregor added, โ€œMany of us knew then the achievement gap was just a Trojan horse for DEIโ€™s real objective, pronouns and the radical LGBTQ-plus agenda.โ€

โ€œNaperville parents will spend literally tens of thousands of dollars on sports throughout their daughters lives: travel teams, coaches, summer camps, traveling to tournaments and meets, etc. and when their daughter steps up for her chance to win a state championship or medal,โ€ MacGregor continued. โ€œSheโ€™ll lose to a biological male. That once in a lifetime moment gone because of DEIโ€™s political agenda.โ€

A โ€œnon-binaryโ€ elderly person identified as โ€œDorthy Powers,โ€ who appeared to be transgender, said,  โ€œWhen a student is forced to compete in a gender with which he or she does not identify, education is a choice. America began providing public education in 1635. Will Naperville continue the proud American tradition of forward progress, or try to justify exclusion? For those who are non-binary, of course I include. I encourage inclusion.โ€

Shannon Adcock of Awake Illinois counted the argument, saying, โ€œNow in 2025, youโ€™ve got boys stealing girlsโ€™ victories, leaving young girls sobbing on the track. This isnโ€™t inclusion. Itโ€™s oppression.โ€

Adcock also announced a federal civil rights complaint against the district.

โ€œI hope they freeze every dollar of the $8.9 million until you abide by Title IX. To the kids caught in this-girls crushed on the track and the boy misled into this chaos โ€”weโ€™re so sorry. You deserve better than adultsโ€™ failures,โ€ Adcock said. โ€œBut thereโ€™s hope: weโ€™re fighting for fairness, & we will win.โ€

No action was taken to change the policies during the meeting.
