President Trump joined Fox Sports in their booth on Sunday night at the Lions vs Commanders game in DC for his NFL sports announcing debut, calling plays with the reporters.
“Your second string, your backup quarterback, is a good quarterback, and he’s had some very good games for you, and your first-string quarterback has the potential, I think, to be a great quarterback. He’s got to stop the injuries somehow,” Trump said as they awaited the snap on the Commanders’ 10-yard line.
“Second and 7, let’s see what happens,” Trump said before the tackle, adding, “Whoa.”
The Commanders were trailing the Lions 10-32 with less than ten minutes to play in the 3rd Quarter.
“Good runner,” he said. “This is a very big play, don’t you think? They have to get a touchdown; let’s put it differently. They just have to get a touchdown.”
Play-by-play man Kenny Albert and color commentator Jonathan Vilma joked that Trump was stealing their jobs.

The commanders eventually scored on their run with Quarterback Marcus Mariota making a wide-open End Zone pass to Deebo Samuel Sr.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, Trump performed a flyover at Northwest Stadium in Maryland before he arrived at the game for the special Veterans’ Day halftime ceremony.
This makes Trump the first sitting president since 1978 to attend a regular season NFL game and the first sitting President to join the announcers on live TV.
