NBC’s “Meet the Press” host Kristen Welker called out Democrat Senator Chuck Schumer for lying about Joe Biden’s cognitive decline.
Kristen Welker played a video of Schumer claiming Biden’s “mental acuity is great” and is as “good as it’s been over the years.”
“All this right-wing propaganda this his mental acuity has declined is wrong,” Schumer said in a February 2024 video clip.
“Leader Schumer, what do you say to Americans who say that you and other top Democrats misled them about President Biden’s mental acuity?” Welker asked Schumer.
Schumer remained defiant.
“Look, we didn’t. Let’s look at President Biden. He’s had an amazing record – the legislation we passed… putting in 235 judges – a record – and, he’s a patriot! He’s a great guy!” Schumer said.
After claiming Biden is the most amazing and capable president ever, Schumer then admits he couldn’t make it another four years.
“When [Biden] stepped down, he did it on his own because he thought it was not only better for the Democratic party – we should all salute him,” Schumer said.
Welker asked Schumer if Biden could have served another four years and he wouldn’t answer.
